There are several dating sites out here dedicated to so-called "alternative lifestyles." The problem is they are usually filled with adds that aren't usually allowed on family oriented sites.

But guess what? If you have an alternative interest, then its fairly likely that other people do as well.

And if you were going to meet up with somebody with alternative dating interests in mind, where would you find them? An S and M club? In the fetish section of your local bookstore? Probably not.

You'd find them in the same place other so called "normal" people like to hang out in there free time.

Bars, clubs, bookstores, the supermarket.

You would just have approach them a little differently, that's all.

The truth is, any of the mainstream dating sites can be used to find pretty much any kind of person, with any kind of interests.

You just have to know how to ask in such a way so that you don't come off as a complete weirdo.

Just like in real life.

You meet somebody, start a conversation, get to know each other, and then start to feel out each others interests.

If you're a match, great. If not, no problem. No harm, no foul, no hard feelings, move on to the next one.

Whether you have completely "mainstream" qualities that you seek in a partner, or some that would be considered part of the "alternative dating" world, you can still find them in the same place.

It's all in how you look.
